Your Jumpcloud password sets the password for many other work services and devices you use. More details here.
You may receive an email asking you to change your Jumpcloud password before a certain time. You will receive multiple warnings, but if you don't heed them, you may be logged out of your computer the moment the password finally expires and lose your unsaved work!

Potential Issues With Laptops
The Change will take effect almost immediately across all Jumpcloud synced services. However, if you change the password using your desktop or phone, and leave your work laptop off (and therefore disconnected from the internet), problems could arise.
Jumpcloud is an internet service, so a computer that was not connected to the internet during a password change will have no way of knowing about it. You may find that there is no way to connect the computer to the internet without logging in. In this case you must use your old password first to connect to the internet. You should then log out and back in again with the new password.
If you are plugged into the internet with a network cable this will not be a problem.
